Why Businesses Call Brighouse Commercial
Most car buyers are set up for one sedan in a driveway. Commercial vehicles are different. They are heavier, longer and often parked at a busy business site where timing matters. Our name says it: Brighouse Commercial has been handling work vehicles and equipment in Richmond since 2018.

One Call, Several Units
Retiring three vans and an old pickup? Send the list and photos together and get one clear offer for the lot.
Your Schedule, Not Ours
Pickups are same day or next day, depending on your schedule, any time from 8 am to 11 pm. Early morning and evening pickups help keep your business running while we work.
Our Own Trucks
We do every pickup ourselves with our own trucks and equipment. No subcontractor, no middleman.
Paid Before We Leave
Payment is by cash or e-Transfer, made at pickup before any vehicle leaves your property.
Commercial Vehicles We Buy

Cargo Vans and Work Vans
Ford Transit, E Series, Chevrolet Express, GMC Savana, Ram ProMaster, Mercedes Sprinter and similar vans. High kilometres, failed engines or worn out interiors are all fine.
Box Trucks and Cube Vans
Moving trucks, delivery cube vans and box trucks that are no longer roadworthy or no longer needed. We picked up a retired GMC box truck in Richmond that had sat unused for years.
Work Pickups
Half ton, three quarter ton and one ton pickups used for trades, landscaping and deliveries.
Boom Trucks and Specialty Trucks
Trucks with booms, cranes or special bodies that have reached the end of their working life.
Buses and Passenger Vans
Shuttle buses, buses and passenger vans. Send the length and photos, and we will confirm the pickup.
Motorhomes, Boats and Trailers
Businesses and families often have these too. See our motorhome, RV, boat and trailer removal page.
Have machines as well as vehicles? Our heavy equipment removal Richmond page covers forklifts, excavators, generators and factory equipment, and we can often plan both in one visit.
Retiring Fleet Vehicles: How It Works
Send Your List
Call 236 240 2138 or use the form. For each vehicle, include the year, make, model, kilometres, condition and a few photos. A simple list is fine.
Get a Clear Offer
We review each vehicle and give you an offer, with anything that could change it explained up front.
Plan the Pickup
Tell us about the site: gate access, parking layout, loading area and the best time to visit. We plan the trucks and timing so we do not block your work.
Sign and Get Paid
We check each vehicle against the details, complete the transfer form (APV9T) with the person signing for the business, and pay by cash or e-Transfer before we leave.
What Affects the Offer on a Commercial Vehicle
| Factor | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Size and weight | Larger vehicles such as box trucks and buses carry more weight and value. |
| Complete or stripped | Engine, transmission, wheels and catalytic converter in place raise the offer. |
| Running condition | Vehicles that still start and drive usually get more. |
| Special equipment | A body, box or boom that is still in place is taken into account. |
| Current metal prices | Offers move with the metal market. |
| Site access | Easy access at the site makes the pickup quicker. |
We give an exact amount only after you share the details. Learn more on our what is my car worth page.
Paperwork for Selling a Company Vehicle
Selling a business vehicle uses the same ICBC forms as a personal car, with a few extra points.
- Registration (APV250): the vehicle must be registered to the business or person selling it.
- Signing for the business: the person signing must be authorised to sign for the company.
- Transfer/Tax Form (APV9T): we bring it and complete it with you at pickup, with original signatures on all four pages.
- Clear ownership: no loan, lease or lien can be owing on the vehicle.
- Plates: remove them before pickup. Return them to an Autoplan broker if you will not reuse them, and cancel or move the Autoplan policy.
- Decals and equipment: take off company decals, tools, tablets and GPS units you want to keep before we arrive.
Our BC paperwork guide has a full section on company vehicles.

Commercial Vehicle Removal FAQ
Can you remove several company vehicles at once?
Yes. Businesses often retire more than one vehicle at a time. Send the year, make, model, condition and photos for each one, and Brighouse Commercial will give you one clear offer for the group. We plan the pickup so all units are collected in as few visits as possible.
Do you buy work vans and box trucks that do not run?
Yes. Running or not, we buy cargo vans, cube vans and box trucks. Our trucks can winch non running vehicles on board. Let us know which vehicles do not start so we plan the right setup for your site.
Do you buy buses?
Yes. We buy buses and passenger vans. Send photos, the length and the condition, and tell us where the bus is parked so we can plan access and give you an accurate offer.
Who signs the paperwork for a company vehicle?
The person signing the transfer form must have authority to sign for the business that owns the vehicle. We complete the APV9T with that person at pickup. The vehicle must be registered to the business and have no loan, lease or lien owing.
How are business sellers paid?
We pay by cash or e-Transfer at pickup, before the vehicles leave your site. Let us know which method your business prefers when you book.
Can you pick up outside business hours?
We are open from 8 am to 11 pm every day, and pickups are same day or next day, depending on your schedule. Early morning or evening pickups often work well for busy business sites.
Is towing free for commercial vehicles?
Towing is free on most pickups within our service area. For very large vehicles or difficult sites, we tell you before booking if anything is different, so you know the terms before you agree.
