Richmond BC

Motorhome, RV, Boat and Trailer Removal in Richmond BC

The camping trips ended years ago, but the motorhome is still in the driveway. The boat has not touched the Fraser River in a decade. The old trailer is blocking the side of the house. Brighouse Commercial Scrap Auto and Equipment Removal buys them, picks them up with our own trucks, and pays you by cash or e-Transfer before we leave.

Big Items Most Buyers Will Not Touch

A regular car buyer often says no to anything longer than a pickup truck. Motorhomes are heavy and tall, boats come with awkward hulls and trailers, and old travel trailers can be falling apart. These are exactly the items Brighouse Commercial was set up for. Since 2018 we have been picking up big vehicles and equipment all over Richmond.

Motorhomes and RVs

Class A, B and C Motorhomes

From large bus style motorhomes to camper vans, we make offers on motorhomes in any condition. We recently picked up an older Tioga motorhome in Richmond that its owners had stopped using.

Camper Vans and Conversion Vans

Older camper vans and conversion vans with worn interiors, high kilometres or engine problems are welcome.

Motorhomes That Will Not Start

A motorhome that has sat for years often has dead batteries, flat tires or a seized engine. Tell us about it, and we will plan the pickup.

Before we come

  • Empty the fridge, cupboards and storage bays
  • Remove propane tanks you want to keep
  • Take out personal papers and electronics
  • Have the registration and keys ready, if you have them

Boats

Boats on Trailers

Fishing boats, runabouts and older pleasure boats sitting on a trailer are the simplest to pick up. We can take the boat and trailer together.

Older and Unused Boats

Faded hulls, old motors and boats that have not been in the water for years still have value as a whole.

Tell us about the boat

  • Length and type of boat
  • Whether it is on a trailer, and the trailer condition
  • Engine type, and whether the motor is still attached
  • Exactly where it is stored and how we can reach it

Trailers

Utility and Cargo Trailers

Open utility trailers and enclosed cargo trailers, including ones with rusted frames or broken lights.

Travel Trailers and Camper Trailers

Older travel trailers and campers that are no longer used or have water damage inside.

Boat Trailers

Trailers left over after the boat is gone, or a boat and trailer together.

What Affects the Offer

FactorWhy it matters
Type and sizeA large motorhome carries more weight and value than a small trailer.
ConditionRunning motorhomes and complete boats usually get more.
What is includedA boat with its motor and trailer is worth more than a hull on its own.
Current metal pricesOffers move with the metal market.
AccessA driveway is simpler than a tight side lot or soft ground.

We give an exact amount only after you share the details and photos. More detail is on our what is my car worth page.

Paperwork for Motorhomes, Boats and Trailers

We buy items with clear ownership only, with no loan or lien owing.

  • Motorhomes and trailers registered in BC: these use ICBC registration, like a car. Have the signed registration (APV250) and photo ID ready, and we complete the transfer form (APV9T) with you at pickup. Remove the plates and return them to an Autoplan broker if you will not reuse them.
  • Boats: have any ownership papers you hold for the boat, along with photo ID. Tell us what you have when you ask for an offer and we will confirm what is needed.
  • Estates: the executor can sell once they show legal authority to sell.

See our BC paperwork guide for full details.

How Pickup Works

  1. Send Photos and Details

Call 236 240 2138 or use the form. Include the type, size, condition and where it is stored.

  2. Get a Clear Offer

We review the details and give you a number, plus anything that could change it.

  3. Book a Time

Same day or next day, depending on your schedule, between 8 am and 11 pm.

  4. Load and Pay

We check the item, complete the paperwork, pay you by cash or e-Transfer, and tow it away.

Where We Pick Up

We pick up within about 10 km of our office on Arcadia Road in Brighouse, and further on request. Many of our motorhome and boat pickups come from driveways and side lots in West and South Richmond, including Steveston, and from larger properties in East Richmond.

Motorhome, RV, Boat and Trailer FAQ

Do you buy motorhomes that do not run?

Yes. Many of the motorhomes we buy have not been driven in years. Dead batteries, flat tires and engine problems are common. Send the year, make, size, condition and photos, and Brighouse Commercial will give you a clear offer and plan the pickup with our own trucks.

Can you take a boat and trailer together?

Yes. A boat on its trailer is usually the easiest way for us to pick it up, and the trailer adds to the offer. Tell us the boat length, whether the motor is attached and the trailer condition.

Do you buy old travel trailers with water damage?

Yes. Older travel trailers and campers with leaks or water damage inside are welcome. The frame, axles and overall size still matter to the offer. Send photos of the outside and the inside.

What should I take out of a motorhome before pickup?

Remove food, personal items, documents and anything in the storage bays. Take any propane tanks you want to keep, and remove the plates once the paperwork is signed.

Do I need paperwork for a trailer or motorhome?

Yes. Motorhomes and registered trailers use ICBC registration like a car. You will need the signed registration in your name and photo ID, and we complete the transfer form with you at pickup. The item must have no loan or lien owing.

Is towing free for big items?

Towing is free on most pickups within our service area. If the item is in a hard to reach spot or outside our normal area, we tell you before booking if anything is different.
